Ahead of the global digital reveal of Cullinan, at 12.00 pm midday British Summer Time on Thursday 10 May,on www.rolls-roycemotorcars.com/cullinan, Rolls-Royce has shown the first undisguised facets of the most anticipated motor car of 2018, and perhaps the most intriguing Rolls-Royce in recent times.
The Cullinan will be seen in advance of the broadcast of the last chapter of The Final Challenge, at 12.00 pm on Wednesday 9 May, at www.nationalgeographic.com/rollsroycecullinan.
The Cullinan will share the same platform (vehicle architecture) developed for the Phantom VIII. As befitting a Rolls Royce the Cullinan will also use the same 6.7-litre, twin-turbocharged V12 engine.
The Cullinan is named after the largest uncut diamond ever found (3100 carats) and has been in development since 2015.
The body is mostly constructed from aluminium and the drivetrain will feature a BMW derived 4x4 system all of which shall be driven by a 9-speed automatic transmission.
Retail prices are expected to start at $300,000 USD, to compare, the average buyer of a Phantom VIII spends almost twice as much on opulent extras.
