Flavio Manzoni is the Senior Vice President of Design at Ferrari, recently he was invited to give a lecture at the London Design Museum and revealed his insights into what it takes to design a Ferrari.
Manzoni studied architecture at the University of Florence, specialising in industrial design. It's an unusual entry into the world of automotive design.
The overwhelming majority of automotive designers study a specialist automotive degree.
However Manzoni transitioned into the world automotive design at first designing interiors and then exterior concepts.
Stints followed at Lancia, Fiat, VW and then Ferrari where he is most famous for penning the La Ferrari.
